About Route 232

Route 232 helps owners and operators of assisted living, memory care and nursing home buildings choose the right HUD Section 232 loan and plan around how long HUD takes. How it is built

The program rules come from HUD Handbook 4232.1 and HUD’s notices, cited by section. The timelines, queue counts and closing rates come from three HUD sources, downloaded by script: the weekly underwriting queue report, the fiscal-year closings file and the healthcare endorsement database. Every figure shows its date. The methodology page explains how each one is measured.

What it is not

Route 232 is not HUD or FHA and doesn’t speak for them. It does not quote rates or promise timing, and nothing here is an offer to lend.
